Pieter Toussaint (1965) is a scientist at the University of Trondheim. He wrote his debut The Letter in 2005, which was nominated for the Anton Wachterprijs and the Debutantenprijs. In 2006 he wrote The Flying Bicycle, which was also published in Italy, and in 2007 he wrote The Art of Compass Reading. His latest novel, Out of Sight, has been published in the fall of 2012, has received wonderful reviews and has been sold to Norway.
